2. Information and Computer Technologies Services
ICT is used to a great extent in the teaching learning process in the University. It is given special thrust by incorporating at least one compulsory IT course for the UG, PG and Ph.D. students throughout their course curriculum. However, it increases as per the requirement of the student and of the professional and technical course. Apart from the conventional black/white board, LCD projectors and other modern technologies are used for the teaching-learning transaction. Every department has at least one smart classroom. Assignments and projects are given to the students who browse the net for this purpose. There is also provision of training in the Computer Centre for students to equip them for the global demands. There is a special ICT Networking Committee in position for monitoring and assistance. A Hardware Cell has been constituted to look after maintenance of PCs, peripherals and other related equipment.

(i) Wired Local Area Network (LAN) via Fibre Optics – 5 kms (funded by University) & 7 kms (funded by Govt. of India & University on 75:25 percent cost sharing basis)
(ii) Wi-Fi connectivity – 2.4 / 5.8 mHz backbone installed throughout the campus

(i) SHUATS-MAIL Facilities

The University has an interactive module – ‘SHUATS-Mail’ facility to the students and staff of the University through which the students are able to receive and send mails on internet and intranet. General Notices and other information’s are delivered directly to their mail account. Financial status, Academic Performance (Marksheets, Transcripts) are also available in the students mail account.

(ii) Wi-Fi Facilities at the Campus

The University campus is enabled with wireless lease line internet connectivity of 20 MBPS. Over 10 kms of fibre optics / LAN cable backbone structure enables all Schools / Departments / Labs to connect with this lease line server. All the hostels of the University are enabled with WiFi 24 hours connectivity. Over 4,000 PCs on campus are connected to the internet through lease line connections.

(iii) Citation Database Scopus. It contains over 22,000 titles from more than 5,000 publishers around the world, covering the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, and Arts & Humanities. 3. Office of the Registrar
The office of the Registrar operates Systems, Data and Administrative Services, Office Services, Registration and Curriculum Services, and Student Records and Degree Services. The Office of The Registrar provides comprehensive core support for the wide scope of the university’s academic and research missions. The office of the Registrar is entrusted with the creation, maintenance and preservation of hundreds of thousands of academic records for current and former students.

4. Office of the Controller of Examinations
Conducts examinations of the University, maintains the records of every student, prepares the results of every semester (Mark sheets, provisional degree certificates, degrees etc.).

5. Office of Chairman, Entrance Test and Admissions
Organizes All India Entrance Test, prepares the result of the Entrance Test, conducts counseling for new students, administer admission process etc.

6. Directorate of Research
This Directorate promotes research at postgraduate and doctoral levels. The Directorate monitors Research Projects in the Institute sponsored by ICAR, DBT, DST, UPCAR, MRD, BARC, UGC, ISRO, CSIR, NOVDB, NRSA, NCOF and SHUATS.

7. Directorate of Students’ Welfare
The Directorate ensures that students are provided required facilities in the University, get good placement It also facilitates students to pursue their higher education in India and abroad by conducting coaching classes, motivation lectures, mock group discussions and interview simulations.

8. Directorate of Chaplaincy
Directorate is responsible for counseling to anyone facing personal, social, cultural, emotional and spiritual problems and helps staff, students and families.

9. Student Advisory System
Each and every student at the time of admission is allotted an Advisor for the academic and personal guidance. The Advisor keeps the academic record, as well as, the personal and other information of the student allotted to him. He regularly meets the students and sometimes his parents, to guide the students to make their future bright.

10. Directorate of International Education and Training
Directorate has inculcated an educational vision able to provide global society with an education that meets current needs and that can respond efficiently to contemporary demands and challenges, which are characterized by globalisation, interdependence, and multiculturalism.
SHUATS has collaborated with numerous international institutions and organisations, which encompass the exchange of scientific knowledge, long term staff and student exchange, holding of joint academic events such as seminars / workshops and conferences, etc.
